At Derryhick Escape you have your own private lakeside beaches to enjoy. Have a picnic, go for a swim or go fishing.
You are welcome to use one of our 5 kayaks and safety equipment as much as you wish. We have 1 sit in kayak and 4 sit on kayaks. All kayaks are single seaters. We do have 1 kiddy insert chair for the sit in, suitable for up to 3 years old.
You can also borrow our 13ft Whaly boat, weather permitting. Please contact the host to arrange briefing and setup.
Kids and adults alike can explore our Fairy Forest specially taken care of and made by our Daughters Naomi and Zoe.
We have a small playground and of course treating our resident donkeys is a guest favorite.
You will find an animal treasure hunt in your cottage, enjoy spotting our wonderful wildlife. From Otters to Barn Owls to Hares, keep your eyes always open.
Take a walk around our local country lanes to enjoy the views of Far Breiga mountain, Cunnagher Bog and Derryhick Lake.
